  38. Q. What's new with 5.61??
  39. A. This is simply a version compiled under the latest version of
  40.    the development language, Visual Basic 3.0.

  42. Q. What is it?
  43. A. Printer's Apprentice is a font management utility for the Windows
  44.    3.1 operating environment. It helps you manage all your TrueType
  45.    and Adobe Type 1 fonts by printing inventory sheets (3 flavors!),
  46.    ANSI charts, keyboard layouts, and specimen sheets. It was noted
  47.    as the *BEST* Windows font utility by PC Magazine (10/27/92) and 
  48.    features one of the sharpest interfaces around.

  50. Q. So... What's New with 5.6?
  51. A. Printer's Apprentice has been built with a faster compiler,
  52.    works better with TrueType, has a sharper interface, faster
  53.    loading and printing, and two more new font inventory sheets,
  54.    font file inventory lists, it now tells you which fonts are
  55.    TrueType, ATM, etc... New "Instant Help" tells you exactly what
  56.    each screen and toolbox item does.

  58. Q. How do I install this program real quick?
  59. A. Unzip the PA56.ZIP to a new diskette or directory and run
  60.    INSTALL.EXE. This will decompress the files and copy them
  61.    to the right places on your hard drive.

  63. Q. How do I remove the program if I need more space on my machine?
  64. A. There is a file named INSTALL.LOG located in the PA directory. This
  65.    lists out *every* file and program manager group added to your system.

  67. Q. What happened to the documentation file?
  68. A. Everything has been placed in a Windows help file. Just click
  69.    the Help menu item or the question mark icons...

  72. A. We can only take orders with personal checks. Do *NOT* send cash,

  90. Q. What is the upgrade policy?
  91. A. When you register, I will send you a code and a certificate. Upon release
  92.    of major upgrades, I will notify you with a post card. The cost of
  93.    duplication and mailing has gotten out of hand, so upgrades will cost
  94.    a nominal $5 if you need a new diskette. Or you can wait to find the
  95.    program on a local BBS. The codeword will always work for future 
  96.    editions.

  99. A. Yes! I am always open to suggestions! This software is made for
  100.    anyone who cares about type. Designers, DTPers, layout artists,
  101.    print shops, publishers, etc, this sofware is for you. If you have
  102.    any suggestions, spec sheet ideas, interface notes, let me know.
